Departed from Hobart city at 8.45am to have another fun day to admire beautiful scenery and visit the historic site in Tasmania.
On the way to Port Arthur the prison, we stopped at some highlighted travelling spot.
The first stop was Pirate Bay.海盗湾
The name of Pirate Bay was given because there were many pirate around this area once upon a time.
Second stop, Tessellated Pavement 棋盘道. The name given because the rock has naturally fractured into polygonal blocks that resembled tiles. It looked like the plan of the chess. Some people doubt that it was built by human or maybe UFO, but the answer is NO. The cracks were formed when the rock fractured through the action of stress on the Earth's crust and subsequently modified by sand and wave action. *according to wiki*
Hard to believe that the rocks are formed naturally right?
Next station which was a 2 mins journey from Tessellated pavement was the Tasmans Arch 塔斯曼拱门.
Tour guide told us that there would be one day in the future that we need to take a boat to go to the middle of the sea to see this arch because the arch will slowly get further from the mainland because of the movement of the Earth crust. But that would be something after millions of years later. XD
Next station: Devil's Kitchen 魔鬼厨房.
Perhaps you would doubt why this name was given. I felt curious too before my tour guide explained for us. I thought maybe there were nice food welcoming us at the beginning but then I guessed perhaps the rocks was like some cooking utensils or dining table. But none of my guessing was the correct answer. The name of Devil's Kitchen was given because this was the place where the Tasmania's devil ate 2 pirates.
This place is interesting. There is an entrance (a small hole) where the sea water can flow inside the closed lake. The water will splashed up when knock on the rocks. The height of the water being splashed up depends on how strong is the wave flow into it. I waited for a long to capture the scene where the water splashed up.
Finish eating, finish admiring, it was time to go back to prison. *I was the prisoner*
PORT ARTHUR, the most well-kept old prison and most significant heritage area in Australia, located at the Tamanian Peninsula. This prison was built in 1830 and done in 1833. It was the destination for the British and Irish criminals. They were sent here by ferry/ship. Even if you stole a handkerchief, you would get caught and sent here to lock up for 7 years. 5 years of travelling from England to Australia was not included.

The prison was completed with hospital, church, police station, court etc. A prisoner was not here to lock up only, there were officers here to teach them some skills according to their ability so that they wont get involved into criminal like stealing again if they had some skills to earn money. For example, baking bread, cooking, making furniture, working as a blacksmith, etc.
全身包完只剩眼睛。说话的自由被剥夺了。这就是physically abused. 一个星期只有一个小时的祷告时间可是开口说话。平日里，如果他们说话，就会被关进一个伸手不见五指的小房间，真的很可怕，吃喝拉撒都在里头了。我进去不到一分钟都吓坏了，真的很暗很可怕，更何况他们被关3个月。出来后有人疯了，有人傻了，有人瞎了。疯了，就把你送进隔壁的精神病院接受治疗，复原后继续回到重刑犯的隔离监狱，再说话再进黑麻麻房间三个月，再疯再进神经病院..........恶性循环，永不停息。

Back to the city after 2 hours journey. We had our dinner in a Vietnamese restaurant at Salamanca Square. There were a lot of art galleries here but all closed at 5pm, so we could only stroll along the street.
Another Tasmanian ice cream :P
Back to hotel at 8pm. As a conclusion, it was a fun day.
