Australia trip Day 8 - Great Ocean Road

Woke up at 5.30am to prepare myself for today's trip. According to the tour company, it would be quite a tiring day as it was a 8 hours journey in the coach. Box Hill and city and started my journey to the Great Ocean Road. No more Mr Alan for today but a bald fat man with very China accent as our tour guide. He told us that we were going to sit in the bus to admire the scenery along the Great Ocean Road and there was only 1+ hour time walking on the ground lol
He was quite a good tour guide as he told us a lot of information about the Grean Ocean Road. The Great Ocean Road is an Australian National Heritage listed 243-kilometre stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of AustraliaThe road was built by returned soldiers after the World War I
At the first small town named Angoisse.
The houses along the road, facing the South Pacific Ocean.
The monument of the Grean Ocean Road at another small town named Lorne.

沿着海岸线,路非常地弯曲。司机大哥好功夫!
景色真是漂亮极了,那个浪花,那片蔚蓝的天空,那片一望无际的大海,那海天一色的风景,真叫人难忘。

We arrived the Twelve Apostles (十二门徒). Sadly, there are only 8 stones left nowadays. You can pay $80 *forgot* to take the helicopter ride, but we didnt. I dont think it is necessary lah. All the photos below are without any filter. And this is how pretty the natural could be.
I always like to take photo of my back side. LOL
I took a lot of photos for the same scenery. Just dont feel like miss out capturing any angle and every single wave. It is just too beautiful and captivating. The scenery is just like a drawing.
The bushes along the road.

The next highlighted spot was the Loch Ard Gorge 峡谷. There was a story about this spot, a ship crashed in the sea and there were two survivors stayed alive. There lived in this valley for many many years until they were discovered by a native. Somehow, both of them separated after being rescued. How sad.

Going down the staircase to go inside the valley...
The super soft and fine sand
Very difficult to jump on the beach.
Climb up the stair.

We were not going to the London Bridge because it wasnt that meaningful for us Asian to visit that because we wont have any feeling towards the stone that looked like the London Bridge and the bridge-like stone had collapsed in the year of 1991. So he brought us to another place named Gibson Steps. He warned us not to get close with the sea because the wave here was unpredictable and there is at least 1 people died in this place each year.

Also had to walk downstairs to the beach.

I wasnt supposed to pose like this. This was actually the action I landed after another jumping shot. But I think it looked nice, too. I love this scenery like this!! It relaxed my mind.

There wasnt much beautiful scenery on our way back to city in the evening because we back through another road, there was only Gum tree and farms along the road. So I took a nap on my way back.

My lunch - fried rice with roasted chicken in a small town called Apollo Bay.

If you like to admire the natural beauty of the world, it will be a MUST for you to visit the Great Ocean Road. If you are a backpacker with driving license, it is strongly recommend that you rent a car and drive yourself but it could be quite dangerous. Somehow, it is challenging enough. Prepare a plastic bag or some medicine if you got carsickness because the road is really quite meandering. But the most important thing is prepare yourself with a camera because the scenery is really unforgettable! I hope I could visit this place again after many many years and I hope the rocks wont collapse that fast.
